Faults Under Traditional Veils

Note: These topics are the drafts I created from time to time on random topics. I am posting them on internet to get your comments and criticism so I can improve them, if possible.

Traditions were, sometimes, a way to keep alive, the good things of ancestors. Holy Prophet ﷺ said that good thing is a heritage for a believer; he should acquire it from wherever he can.

Traditions and cultures were once, a mean for the union of different people (who have gone far apart from each other) because they all are the children of Adam and Eve. But today, our Islamic traditions have been changed into Hindu traditions.

My Lahore Trip – Emperor Jehangir’s Tomb (part 2)

As-Salam-o Alaykum dear friends.

Now, we are on our last episode of ‘My Lahore Trip’. Today, we are continuing our tour to Emperor Jehangir’s Tomb. We have already given the description of King Jehangir and his tomb in our last episode. You can read it from there. But just briefing it, he was the son of the Mughal Emperor Akbar and the father of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan who ordered to build Taj Mahal. The tomb of Noor Jehan was built on her orders in her own life but the tombs of Jehangir and Asif Khan were built later, on the orders of Shah Jehan. No one can deny that Shah Jehan spent a lot of money on the constructions of tombs of his relatives. From where did all that money and labour came? It was the money of the poor people and the blood of the poor people could be found between the bricks of these tombs.

My Lahore Trip–Emperor Jehangir’s Tomb (part 1)

As-Salam-o Alaykum.

Today, we are heading towards the tomb of the Emperor Jehangir. Jehangir was the son of Akbar, the husband of Mehr-un-Nisa Noor Jehan and the father of Shah Jehan. His tomb and the tombs of his wife and brother-in-law were constructed later. The tomb of his wife was constructed in her life on her own orders, as we have read earlier. The tombs of Jehangir and his brother-in-law were constructed by his son, Shah Jehan, later. The only tomb that is still much beautiful among these three is the tomb of Jehangir. It is very strange to see this difference in his and his wife’s tomb. Might be the reason is that her wife was more indulged in the love of money and material world and Allah has shown us that the more you love money and material world, the more you will not be perished. Let’s move to the pictures.

My Lahore Trip–Queen Noor Jehan’s Tomb (part 2)

A brief introduction of Empress Noor Jehan (wife of King Jehangir – Prince Saleem – and mother of King Shah Jehan) was provided in the last episode. Today, we are going to her original grave in the basement.

My Lahore Trip–Minar-e-Pakistan

DSCF0671

Assalamo Alaikom.

After Badshahi mosque, we went to Minar-e-Pakistan. This is a 175 feet tall minaret (if I am recalling correctly what I was told in year 2004 or 2005, when I visited it). It was constructed in the memory of the Lahore Resolution (passed on 23rd May 1940). Liaquat Ali Shah Sahib told me that the workers used to construct it with ablution and his father was also the one among those workers. He further added that 2 workers died, by falling down, while putting the cap of this minaret.

My Lahore Trip – Badshahi Mosque

The city of Lahore does not need any introduction to the people of sub-continent. Every child of Pakistan and India know about Lahore. It is very hard to think of even a single exception. Lahore is called as the heart of Punjab. The only city that comes after Karachi is Lahore. There is an oft-quoted proverb jinney Lahore nahi takya o jamya he nahi – the person who has not seen Lahore has not born yet.

Fake Imposters

Assalamo Alaikom.

Since the world is created, there are always, at least, two opposite and contradictory sides of every thing. As we know that faith is a thing that is firmly ingrained in someone’s mind and never want any proof to be proven truth. For this reason, faith has always been a great target of Satan and his followers. As faith is the heart of every religion, affecting faith means affecting the religion. And, from the first day, every religion had the black sheep that become fake imposters to get advantage on the name of faith and religion.

Forgotten our Great forefathers.

I do not have time but I still want to shed some tears on Muslims and their recent history. I only want to say that Muslims have left the footsteps of their forefathers and non-Muslims are adopting those footsteps. This is the reason why non-Muslims have become the world power. Those golden words and acts of Great Muslims have the power to change the nations, to build the nations and to drive the nation perfectly through every wet and dry.
